lush goodies

Everybody and their mother loves lush. I myself had never bought any of their products until today. As much as I was intrigued by the company's marketing and branding, I was put off by the fact that most of their creams contain parabens and other chemicals. Apart from that, I also almost always felt overwhelmed by the 1001 scents and the amount of people crammed into one little store. And believe me, my local store is tiny.

Today was different though. I went in knowing what I wanted to check out and luckily the store was somewhat empty.

I ran out of my dry shampoo yesterday and placed an order for Batiste, which may take a week to get here since it's being shipped from the UK. I didn't want to repurchase the last one i got (got2be rockin' it - it was horrible!), so I thought I'd give the lush one a go. No drought has a nice scent to it. The ingredients looked ok and you do get a fair amount of product.

I also got myself the Oatifix face mask. I love the scent and loved the rich texture. The ingredients also looked alright. The mask is meant for sensitive/dry skin and my skin has definitely been on the sensitive side in recent months. The sales assistant also added the Each Peach massage bar. You know, I love my freebies.

    I love lush's face masks, but the shelf life is a dissapointingly short 3 weeks, be careful you don't let it go mouldy!

    I love Lush solid shampoos and conditioners! Also i recommend the R&B Hair mask, it's fabulous! x

    I really like lush, but I feel overwhelm with the scents when I walk in. The Oat Fix mask must smell amazing, as I love oaty smells. Followed you via bloglovin. x

    not weird! i've never tried lush products either. i heard their soaps in their store's displays were the ones they would give customers when they "buy" the product.. i was put off by that !! lol. the oatifix face mask seems so intriguing :P maybe i'll try that next time and give lush a shot hahah.

    I'm amazed you've never bought Lush before - I literally can't resist buying something every time I pass by! My favourites are the Angels on Bare Skin & Ultrabland cleansers and the Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo - it makes hair feel so much cleaner than anything else I've tried. Never tried either of the products you got - would be interested to see your thoughts :)
